Assets Overview

Your Image Library

When you first select the Assets section, you're presented with your current library of images and other collateral.  You're also provided with a link that will take you right to the article which discusses Asset Management in greater detail.  Since the mechanisms of Asset Management are the same for both Salsa Donate and the more robust Fundraising package available in Salsa Engage and Salsa CRM, the following information covers a lot of the same ground.

While you have the ability to add images while creating forms or emails you can also add the images ahead of time to use later by you or other campaign managers.  To get started click the Assets section on the left side of the screen.

Supported File Types

You’ll be able to add images in any of the following file types:

  • .jpeg
  • .gif
  • .png

Adding an asset

The first time you log in, you may only see a large field that says "Click here (yes, here!) to upload a file from your computer." since you may not yet have assets in your library.  Whether or not you've added assets, you can always select the "+ Add an Asset" button to bring up the "Click here..." field.  You'll see the button in the upper right-hand corner:

You can then find and select the image you want to add via your computer's file browser, and then click Open:

This adds the image to your account, and you'll be able to see it in the general list:

View an Asset

The option to view them in a list is also available, just click the icon.

The last option for viewing an asset is using the search bar in the upper right hand corner. Just type in any part of the file name that you want to find and hit enter to filter your list by the word:

Edit an Asset

To edit an asset hover over the image you want to edit and click the Edit This button.

This will popup a new box where an internal reference name can be set. By default it will use the file’s name.

Enter search terms in the optional field tell us about this asset. This will help your co-workers effectively search for and find the asset.

Below these two fields you will see a thumbnail of the image to the left and then some further details of the image to the right.

To save any changes made to this asset click the Save this Asset button in the lower right hand corner.

Delete an Asset

To delete a single asset just hover over the image and click the trash can symbol.

Once clicked it will ask for confirmation before actually deleting the image. Click Yes, Delete to permanently delete the image.

To delete more than one asset, click the checkmark in the upper left hand corner for each image you want to delete. A blue checkbox means it is currently selected.

After selecting all the images you want to delete click the trashcan symbol that now appears at the top of the page.
