Donation Forms Step 1: Setup

When to use it

According to the M + R 2014 Benchmarks Study, online giving increased 14% from 2013 to 2014. Branded online donation forms are shown to raise six times more funds than generic donation pages. Following this workflow, you can get in on the action by creating as many branded online donation forms as you'd like.

How to get there

Navigate to the Fundraising section of your account.  You'll find this on the left-hand side of your screen once you've logged into your account.  The menu looks like this:

Once you're there, you can see the list of donation forms you may have already created.  Some may be in either draft form, or may have already been published.  Starting out, you'll probably only see a blank list.  To create a new Fundraising form, click the "+ Create a Fundraising Form" button:

From there, you'll be taken to the Setup page:

Fill out the first line, "Name this fundraising form", which is mandatory.  You can optionally fill in the "Add a description" field.  You'd typically use this field if you're building multiple Fundraising forms, and want to further differentiate them if they're named similarly.

NOTE: These are all internal designations for you and the rest of your staff.  These names and descriptions are not visible to your donors.

The next two fields allow you to name a specific Fund for your Fundraising form, as well as include a GL code for ease of accounting:

These aren't required fields.  Once you're done, click the "Design my Form" button in the lower right hand corner to continue.
